  • Wind and Solar Energy provisions in Dearborn County’s Zoning Ordinance
  • Preliminary findings from Purdue Extension’s Climate Change and Renewable Energy Land Use Planning study concerning the use and characteristics of wind and solar ordinances in Indiana
  • Future research possibilities

About the Speakers

Ty Adley, Plan Director, Marshall County Plan Commission, Indiana

Mr. Adley gets the opportunity to work with the Marshall County community on multiple levels. His work experience includes time in Charleston, SC and with several communities in Indiana. He currently serves on the Board of the Indiana Chapter of the American Planning Association.

Mark McCormack, Director of Planning & Zoning, Dearborn County, Indiana

Mark works on a variety of land use and planning issues, including ordinance development and enforcement and all types of plan reviews. Through a unique arrangement of inter-local agreements with local communities, Mark also serves as the Planning Director for the City of Aurora, and the Towns of Dillsboro, St. Leon, and West Harrison. Mark’s previous work experience includes the Performance Group, LLC., a private sector construction firm, as well as the Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development. Mark is a Ball State University graduate and currently serves on the Board of the Indiana Chapter of the American Planning Association.

Tamara Ogle, Community Development Regional Educator, Purdue Extension

Tamara Ogle specializes in local government and community and organizational planning. She coordinates the statewide On Local Government program and is co-chair of the Purdue Extension Land Use Team. Her local government work includes both education and research of the property tax system, farmland assessment, and land use planning. Tamara also serves on the Purdue Extension Facilitative Leadership team and has worked in numerous communities as a facilitator and community coach.
